I love this article! My husband rarely travels with work but it is so hard when he does! It is great just to know that I am not the only one who struggles without Daddy. I also use most of these ideas when he’s gone.

I can’t imagine how hard that must feel! My husband works on our farm and comes home A lot during the day, but I still have a hard time when all three babies are with me! I try to get him to take the oldest, but that’s not always possible! I wrote about it here http://lastunasfarm.wordpress.com/2013/05/18/playing-with-my-17-month-old-cloud-dough/

really liked this post Laura! My hubby travels a lot and I do so much of what you suggested. One thing we also do is an appreciation and memory notes so that when hubby is back the kids have lots of stuff they can tell dad and they don’t feel worried they will forget 🙂 sharing this!

As someone whose Hubby is gone a lot, I can definitely relate to this post. I’ve written some tips of my own here: http://www.theconnectedmom.com/2012/07/staying-sane-when-your-spouse-is-away.html
Thanks for sharing your thoughts, and have a great day!
