One of my favorites: My sister brought paint and white t-shirts to town on a Mothers Day visit. Mine has the hand-prints of my then-10yo daughter and footprints of my infant daughter all on the front. Thankfully she got good quality shirts, mine is still my favorite 13 years later! Now that I have a toddler and a baby on the way, I’m thinking of doing the same theme on the back; baby’s feet and toddler’s hands. I will have to use that for an upcoming birthday or christmas gift! wordplayhouse™ wordplayhouse September 7, 2011 at 6:48 am Creating artwork with infants, like those shown here capturing the infants prints, are a treasured way to remember just how very small our little ones once were. Here, little baby hands were traced and framed and the children love to revisit their own hands up on the wall. You’ve shared some nice ideas. Luschka September 7, 2011 at 9:38 pm I’ve always wondered why it’s arts AND crafts. Your distinctions make SO MUCH sense. I LOVE the pop art idea and will definitely be trying that! Thanks 🙂 Katrina Hanley September 13, 2011 at 3:01 pm OH How I LOVE these ideas!! Sometimes the artwork from school seems cookie cutter, or done just for a grade! THIS I love the opportunity to help them grow and create! It works for my baby but it will grow with my older child too!
