Dionna codenamemama October 20, 2011 at 6:19 am Mary – I have not read these, nor am I the expert, but here are a couple I found online: Aromatherapy for Babies and Children Aromatherapy and Massage for Mother and Baby If you find one that’s really helpful, I’d love for you to stop back by and let us know! Thanks 🙂 Amy Norris February 7, 2012 at 12:36 pm Here is an excellent book that I use often! Gentle Babies: Essential Oils and Natural Remedies for Pregnancy, Childbirth, Infants and Young Children by Debra Raybern, N.D., M.H., C.N.C., I.C.A. http://growinghealthyhomes.com/store/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=65&products_id=180 Amy Norris February 7, 2012 at 12:39 pm Another suggested book if you are interested in using Essential Oils. 1001 Large SOFTCOVER Coil Bound “Reference Guide for Essential Oils” (12th Edition) by Connie and Alan Higley http://www.abundanthealth4u.com/Aromatherapy_Books_s/17.htm Have a wonderfully blessed day! Amy Melissa Vose WhiteNoiseWoman January 5, 2012 at 2:03 am amazing post! very comprehensive. if you were to buy only 2 or 3 essential oils which would you chose as the ones you can’t live without? this is a great list but could potentially put me in the poorhouse… =p Dionna codenamemama January 5, 2012 at 7:32 am Hmmm, I guess it depends on if there is anything your family regularly gets. But to answer your question very honestly, the 2 EO’s I’ve used for years are lavender and tea tree oil – everything else I’ve only started learning about in the last year 🙂 Ashley lightituptaft April 8, 2013 at 12:22 am Is there anyway you can include information on essential oils for Autism, ADHD, Sensory Disorders, Anxiety, Anger??? Dionna codenamemama April 8, 2013 at 6:51 am Thanks for reading, Ashley. This info comes from a presentation by my acupuncturist, who is not a regular writer for us. I’m sure Google can help you with EO recommendations for anxiety and anger, I don’t know about the other three. Good luck in your search! Melissa January 22, 2015 at 3:40 pm I was wondering if it is safe to use a blend like “Attention Assist” by native american nutritionals (3-4) times daily on my 4 year old? I just read a book that says “Always alternate oils used and do not treat the child with essential oils on a consistent basis even if you very the oils” It goes on to say that the oils can build up and hurt their organs (ie Liver). Now I am concerned that I may be over using with her – I do not want to harm her in any way. Please help. attention assist: Ingredients: Vetiver (Vetivera zizanioides), Frankincense (Somalia) (Boswellia Carterii), Lavender (Lavandula angustifolia), and Cedarwood (Cedrus deodora), in a base of Wild Fractionated Coconut Oil. Thank you Dionna codenamemama January 25, 2015 at 7:11 pm Hi Melissa – I am not an expert on EO’s. I’d advise you to investigate the safety of using EO’s on children – talk to a naturopath, or start by reading http://www.learningabouteos.com/index.php/2014/02/07/essential-oils-and-children/ Good luck! lara February 9, 2016 at 8:16 am Hi there Is Rose Geranium ok to use on new born babies? Daniela February 25, 2016 at 12:42 am Hi, I was just wondering why Rosemary is recommended. I have read that Rosemary and Eucalyptus shouldn’t be used on children under 10 years and peppermint on children under 6 years. Just wondering 🙂 Melissa March 22, 2016 at 10:58 am Hi, without suggesting to me which one to use, i just want to ask you if your toddler had hives, and you only had Lemon, Sacred Frankinsence and Oregano, which one would you use with a carrier?
