I am 26 weeks pregnant with our first baby “Lil’B” and we are planning a home birth!! This will be the second home birth in our house, my cousin delivered Baby A-Bug here 2 years ago. Our families are very close, so I’d love to read the stories to A-Bug, bc she will be a part of her “cousin’s” birth as her mom and I are eachother’s doulas! I also have such a strong trust in my body’s ability to accomplish this incredible miracle, that I have no doubts I’ll need to read this book to “Lil’B” for his/her siblings in the years to come 🙂 Thankyou for recommending these great books!!

My husband and I are currently trying to get pregnant and are planning a homebirth for all of our children, assuming there is nothing risky or dangerous going on with my pregnancy, and I think these books would be lovely to read to our future children and to read to our nieces that live nearby.

I learned that Toni has her own birth tub rental business! How cool!

I am planning on having a home birth with our next baby and my biggest concern is how to teach my two little girls about what will happen during the labor and birth.

I would love to win the books to share with my four year old son. We are planning our first homebirth to take place around the beginning of December. We are so excited to be having a homebirth and want our son there to share in the family bonding experience. These books would help him to understand relate to what will be happening at the time of the new baby’s birth.

I was over the moon when I saw the link for this giveaway on facebook, I was just looking for books at the library this weekend to read with my daughter to prepare her for our upcoming (March 2012)birth, but of course none of the public library books cover homebirth. I had mentioned “We’re having a homebirth” to my mom, along with another book I heard of (My brother Jimi Jazz), but I wasn’t sure when I’d be able to afford to buy them. I’m so excited to hear about “Mama, talk about when Max was Born” because that wasn’t one I heard of!

When I visited talkaboutmax.com I learned that the author’s first homebirth was not planned, that must have been a crazy adventure! It’s so swee that the characters are actually modeled after her own children & family.
