As I gear up for babe #3, I am constantly reminded of feelings of failure and inadequacy regarding breastfeeding. I am bookmarking these!! 🙂 Kristin sunfrog December 6, 2011 at 3:41 pm Thank you, glad they are helpful! There are so many things to try, which is really awesome. I was so hoping for smooth sailing with my 2nd, having heard that with each pregnancy you grow more breast/ductal tissue, but then I got two-for-one, and while I DID make more milk that second time (enough for one baby, I am pretty sure!) there was not enough for twins. Good luck, I hope nursing #3 is smooth sailing for you!!! Meggin Dueckman December 6, 2011 at 12:33 pm Thanks for the tips! I’m currently pumping and donating milk to a local boy (as well as feeding my own daughter). Hopefully this will help me get past the growth spurts! Kristin sunfrog December 6, 2011 at 3:42 pm I think milk donation is amazing, that is a wonderful gift you are giving, Meggin! I bet it will help with growth spurts, too! Momma Jorje February 16, 2012 at 7:57 pm I love Lactation Cookies, but I’ve had better luck with Mama Jeeper’s Oatmeal Lactation Breakfast Bars. The only ingredient difference seems to be MORE oats and there is wheat germ in them. I was able to get some milk from someone local, too. I am SO thankful!
