Emily July 19, 2011 at 7:45 pm Great advice! As a mom to 3 under age 5 it’s a good for me to read these reminders! Best of luck with your 4! Momma Jorje July 20, 2011 at 12:47 pm Excellent advice! One thing I’d add – why bother getting the kids dressed? I could see where this could potentially be a stressful thing depending on the ages and temperaments of your children. Who doesn’t love to spend the day in their jammies or naked from time to time. 🙂 Laura July 20, 2011 at 10:29 pm Very true Jorje! 🙂 Claire lactatinggirl July 25, 2011 at 11:41 pm It’s so true that the parenting books aren’t for pregnancies beyond the first. I like reading the parts about how the baby is growing, but other than that it’s useless. Taking naps? Yeah, right. Try that when your toddler won’t nap. Eat perfectly? Not reasonable even when it’s your first pregnancy, let alone when you have to deal with a toddler at the same time. Really though, I’m not fretting nearly as much as I did last time, so maybe it’s not a big deal.
