Homemade Tomato Basil Hummus
Vegan friendly and free from gluten, hummus and veggies make for some super summer snacking. Full of fiber and protein, this quick and easy hummus recipe will satisfy your palate and stomach!
Ingredients:
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 3 tbsp basil, finely sliced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 1/2 c drained chickpeas/garbanzo beans (You can cook up some dried ones or use a 15 oz. can of cooked beans)
- 2 tbsp sesame tahini
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 small can tomato paste
- 1/2 small sweet onion, chopped
Directions:
Put all the ingredients into your food processor and chop until smooth.
* To save even more time, use 5 tbsp of delicious pesto and omit the olive oil, garlic and basil.
