Great reminders! I’m also glad you mentioned to reuse what you have for craft projects and things and to reduce your food waste. I see too many posts that suggest recycling, but what about the other “Rs”? If we don’t make the waste in the first place, there is less to go into the trash AND recycling bins. And don’t forget about composting! Fruit and veggie scraps can be a HUGE source of “trash” in healthy households so a great way of keeping that out of the trash is making your own compost bin or a worm bin.

Yes- composting is an excellent way to reduce waste 🙂 I suppose I didn’t write about composting because I haven’t had much luck with it in the past. . . but maybe it’s time to try again! 🙂

There are all kinds of things that can go in the compost. I do q-tips, kleenex, newspaper as well as food waste. 🙂
