Celebrate World Breastfeeding Week With NPN!
Welcome as NPN celebrates World Breastfeeding Week, commemorated in more than 170 countries worldwide August 1-7.
We invite you to come along with us:
- Read the posts on breastfeeding that will go live this week.
- Write your own breastfeeding-related posts, and link them on the bloghop.
- Share the word about World Breastfeeding Week! Grab the code below to paste at the end of any blog post you’re linking up to tell others about WBW and encourage them to read all the shared posts.
WBW promotes breastfeeding awareness and education. The theme for 2011 is Breastfeeding: A 3D Experience.
From the official site:
When we look at breastfeeding support, we tend to see it in two-dimensions: time (from pre-pregnancy to weaning) and place (the home, community, health care system, etc). But neither has much impact without a THIRD dimension — communication!
Let’s help communicate about breastfeeding for this year’s WBW! Share your posts in the linky at the bottom, and grab the code from the box to use on your own page. Simply copy and paste the code (in html) at the end of any breastfeeding post. The linky will update automatically on everyone’s sites as new posts are added throughout the week!
Wow! That’s one fancy linky! I’ll get cracking on mine now — thanks for the reminder and inspiration!
Is it supposed to show the links on my post? I just added the HTML and checked the preview, and it’s not showing the linky – just a big space between Natural Parents Network and (visit NPN for the code to place on your blog).
Just thought I would double check that I’m not missing anything. 🙂
This is awesome! Looking forward to reading the other links this week.
This is great! I stumbled into the tweetup tonight, and several moms asked me to tell our adoptive breastfeeding story. I’d never written it down before, so I did it tonight. It ended up being a 5-post series (ACK) and I’ll link them up each day as each post goes live. I hope it helps someone! 🙂
Are you going to be doing this again for Breastfeeding week 2012? Would love to link in this year. 🙂
We should, Stephanie! Thanks for the reminder!
