This week we asked: What do alternative caregivers look like?

(Read more about providing consistent and loving care in this week’s articles on the theme.)

From Jorje: Uncle Brandon brings entertainment to the hotel so Mommy & Daddy can deal with the NICU and picking up Spencer! He also took care of Sasha so Spencer could be conceived.

Sasha’s mommy blogs at Momma Jorje.

From Charise at I Thought I Knew Mama: Baby is lucky enough to have six grandparents who will make the effort to drive here from out of state to spend time with him as much as possible.

From Luschka: “My parents have been very respectful of our parenting choices, and have taken our decisions on board more than I ever expected. Even though we live 20-hours by air apart, when they do spend time with Ameli, I have complete confidence in them, because they have always questioned, and then respected our choices. And I’m not really sure which of them is fonder of the other – Ameli’s had my dad wrapped around her finger since the day she was born.”

Luschka blogs at Diary of a First Child.

Shannon says, “Moira took this picture of our once a week baby sitter while they were playing a game.”

Shannon blogs at Pineapples & Artichokes.
