This week we asked: What does your dress-up play look like?

Nothing makes pretending to be a contractor more fun than actual construction happening in your own house.

This zebra costume was Moira’s first-ever favorite outfit.
She even insisted on wearing it in New York City in 90-degree heat.

Shannon blogs at Pineapples & Artichokes.

“Mom likes to dress me up so she can play photographer!”

Lani blogs at Boobie Time.

From Luschka: “This picture was taken when Kyra was only a couple of months old. I was doing a 2010 calendar for family for Christmas, and she was a really good sport about it. The family loved the calendar so much, they still have it up this year!”

Luschka blogs at Diary of a First Child.

Joshua dressed as Winnie the Pooh for his annual costume party and hayride at his family’s farm.

Joshua’s mom Abbie blogs about their adventures at Farmer’s Daughter.

Dressing up with Grandma’s chair covers – a unique style!

Terri blogs at Child of the Nature Isle.

Sasha in one of her first costumes at just 1 month old.

Sasha’s mommy blogs at Momma Jorje.com.

Kieran would rather wear one of his superhero costumes than regular clothes just about any day of the week.

Kieran’s mama blogs at Code Name: Mama.

Tell us: What does dress-up play look like in your family?

  1. That’s a whole lot of adorableness!

  2. When my daughter plays dress up, it’s usually to put a pair of my underwear on her head as a hat as well as a pair on each arm as her ‘purses’. LMAO.

  3. I love these! I think my favorite is the zebra in the heat. Kids are hilarious about favorite costumes. (Says the mama who had to take a robot on errands today.)

  4. LOL @ Elisabeth!
Fun pictures all around – I love the hardhat :)

  5. Cute pics! I can’t wait till Baby is a little older and actually wants to dress up for fun :-)

  6. Oh, my goodness, what a bunch of cutie pies!

  7. I don’t know how I missed this one! Baby T loves to put on hats! He is now getting to the point where he likes to dress himself, so I need to make him a dress-up trunk!

  8. So much fun! Dress-up play will be more our pace when Daniel is old enough to get into it. (I don’t think we’ll even bother with a Halloween costume this year.) Someday, though, we’ll have a dress-up trunk for endless imaginative play!

  9. Love these! Action shots of Kieran always look so cool, too! He runs a lot!
