This week we asked you to share grandparents with us.
(Read more about providing consistent and loving care on our resource page.)
From Shannon of Pineapples & Artichokes: “We are lucky to live with my parents, to have dinner with every night, and celebrate lots of little special moments during the week, like decorating the tree.”
Grandpa and “Grandy” with their first grandbaby, Wyatt
Trish blogs at Everyday Trish.
Joseph ran straight up onto Grandpa’s lap every night that we visited. This night, he didn’t wait for diaper or PJs, just ran straight from the bath to Grandpa’s lap!
Abbey and Joseph love cuddling with Grandma and watching PBS kids or reading a book.
Amy blogs at Me, Mothering, and Making it All Work.
From Lauren: “Since our kids’ grandparents live across the country, we keep in touch with video chat — perfect for connecting little ones visually!”
“Papa’s always good for a snuggle. Both my kids have had several naps in Papa’s arms while we’re out sightseeing together!”
Lauren blogs at Hobo Mama.
From Laura: “This is one of my favorite pictures of my son (who is on the autism spectrum) with my Grandma. When my sister had her baby (now 3), we all drove across the country to support her and meet our newest family member. My maternal grandmother came too. By the time we all went home, they were really connected. At the start of the visit, he was barely willing to make eye contact. Grandparents are amazing!”
Jorje of Momma Jorje, sitting with her Maternal Grandfather, Cliff. She has a few fond memories of him.
Tell us about the grandparents in your family!
