This week we asked: What does healthy snacking look like?

(Read more about healthy eating on our resource page, and enjoy this week’s articles on the theme.)

Nothing encourages eating fruits and veggies more then picking them yourself. On this trip to the farm the kids also tried rhubarb, carrots, chard, sunflower seeds, and nasturtiums, one food from each part of the plant!

Shannon blogs at Pineapples & Artichokes.

Jessica’s daughter, Elizabeth (who just turned 1!) enjoying
the healthiest snack while shopping in Frankenmuth, MI.

Mikko enjoys a muffin-tin meal, and mama Lauren enjoys that he’s eating food he wouldn’t
normally touch, all because of the novelty of a fun container, toothpicks to stab bite-size pieces,
and a compartment just for hummus to dip.

Lauren blogs at Hobo Mama.

Momma Jorje‘s girls enjoy the same snack, at 12 years old and at 9 months old.

“You are what you eat”, here is Jesse eating fruit, the perfect snack.

Jesse’s mom, Christine, blogs at African Babies Don’t Cry.

From Melissa of White Noise: “Organic peas are a favourite snack at our house!”

Best way to get through the grocery store with a 10 month old (at the time). Quick and easy and if you don’t have one, they have them there!

Lani blogs at Boobie Time.
