I don’t know about 2nd degree burns for this specifically, but have you ever tried mustard on a burn? It pulls the burn out and can usually stop blisters from happening! It works on sunburns, too! And the spinal pic looks so cute! That could easily have been included in the Wordless Wednesday: Natural Learning post, too! Jenn Collins @ Monkey Butt Junction mbjunction April 27, 2011 at 8:49 am I love the photo from the chiropractor’s office. I spent many days of my youth at the chiro and I have enjoyed *knock on wood* very good health as an adult. Another great #WW! Kat April 27, 2011 at 8:51 am Mikko is just adorable! I’m glad his little hand healed so quickly! Sasha looks so peaceful with Momma! Love Aelyn’s look of curiosity and wonder! All so cute!!! Momma Jorje April 27, 2011 at 8:57 pm Thank you! She rested so much better skin to skin with me while she was sick. MamaWhimsy April 27, 2011 at 9:54 am Oh, Mikko’s story breaks my heart. I’m glad he healed quickly. What a sweet picture, mama Jorje. We are of the unschooling mindset here, so that picture is tagged under natural learning on our computer too. 🙂 Momma Jorje April 27, 2011 at 9:16 pm Thank you! I sent a goofy pic in for the Natural Learning WW. I think if I used a label for it, I’d have to label nearly everything! lol At 19mo, I figure she is always learning! Amy R. April 27, 2011 at 11:24 am Oh, I’m sorry I missed submitting for this week’s post! My son recently had a long-lasting fever and we did lots of skin-to-skin like Momma Jorje. D has also had a burn, like Mikko (hot noodle soup), and I wish I had known about using honey! Charise@I Thought I Knew Mama ithoughtiknewma April 27, 2011 at 3:51 pm I didn’t know about skin to skin breaking a fever! So glad to find this out! Beautiful pics, as always! Momma Jorje April 27, 2011 at 9:17 pm It sounded so crazy, illogical even! But I was so amazed! I know fever can be good, but I was glad to provide relief. Really, if you think about it, our instincts tell us to hold our sick little ones close to comfort them. Go figure that nature uses that to help us! 😀 Zoie @ TouchstoneZ TouchstoneZ April 27, 2011 at 4:36 pm I didn’t know about skin to skin breaking fevers, either. Thank you for that tip! Where do we find out about upcoming topics for wordless? I couldn’t find it anywhere. Momma Jorje April 27, 2011 at 9:29 pm I believe Lauren posts them to the NPN FB list. I miss them sometimes, too. I’ve been lucky lately, though. Terri onelovelivity April 27, 2011 at 7:49 pm Beautiful. Love all these natural healing techniques – I’ve picked up some good tips on this post.
