Family Safety, Wordless Wednesday

This week we asked: What does keeping cool look like?

(Read more about family safety on our resource page.)

Summer in Seattle doesn’t actually start until the Solstice. It’s not unusual to suddenly need a warm coat and gloves when you are out trying to enjoy “summer” activities.

Shannon blogs at Pineapples & Artichokes.

From Theresa: This is my daughter Hailey… we say “bring on the heatwave”!

Jesse, cooling off in the bird bath on a hot summers day.

Jesse’s mom, Christine, blogs at African Babies Don’t Cry.

Playing at the Splash pad at the local Army post.

At the beach, about ready to hit the water!

Kym blogs at Our Crazy Corner of the World.

He finds this odious at bath time, but loads of fun in the pool…

Emily blogs sporadically at Embrita Blogging.

Here we have H & P self-cooling on a relatively warm day.

H & P’s mom, Amanda, blogs at Let’s Take the Metro.

From Melissa: It’s been hot here in Cleveland. To keep cool, we’ve been running through the backyard sprinkler (Oh yes, Mama too!), swimming and splashing at the pool, and playing and exploring at the lake.

Melissa blogs at Simple Whimsy.

Shaded Sisters

Marisa blogs at Deliberate Parenting.

It doesn’t get much better than the lake for a hot August day.

Remembering to keep covered and stay in the shade.

Tyler & Sasha’s mommy blogs about keeping your children hydrated at Momma Jorje.

Tell us: What does keeping cool look like in your family?
