This week we asked: What do roots look like?

Jorje of Momma Jorje was born and raised in Tulsa, OK. Most of her family, her “roots,” are there.

Shannon likes to think that she got her good humor, fun fashion sense,
and love of the differences in people from her Nana.

Shannon blogs at Pineapples & Artichokes.

Evening gets back to her Maritime roots by playing with her ship, the Bluenose 3,
on the Sea of Blue Blanket (55 degrees North of the Soapy Seas of Bathtub Bay)

Jennifer blogs at Motherhood: my latest adventure.

From Emily: “My great-great aunt, one of the many writers and history buffs in our family.”

Emily blogs sporadically at Embrita Blogging.

As we parent, we hope we’re planting in our children the things that are important to us.

Lauren blogs at Hobo Mama.

Joshua takes a rest while apple picking at the Connecticut farm that his been home to his mom’s family
since the 1640′s. See their adventures at Farmer’s Daughter and Her Country Boys.

Tell us: What do your roots look like?

  1. Great pictures. @Emily – that photo of your great-great aunt is just beautiful.

  2. I love the visual of planting traits in our children. :-)
