This week we asked: What do action songs look like?

(Read more about Natural Learning on our resource page.)

Moira’s been learning the Brain Dance at her ballet class. It’s a series of songs and movements that take kids through the eight developmental movement patterns for healthy humans. When she gets overwhelmed while we go about our day to day activities, we try to take a moment to do some Brain Dancing, and it helps her calm herself down.

Shannon blogs at Pineapples & Artichokes.

Jorje and “sister, Mouse” singing Little Bunny FooFoo, circa 1991.

Memories of teaching their children action songs with her sister…

Jorje blogs at Momma Jorje.

We love having a music filled household!
Playing guitar and drums are the most common ways to get in on the action.

Charise blogs at I Thought I Knew Mama.
