My husband and I always joke about having a “zombie plan” – like, what to do when the zombie apocalypse happens. It is funny, but we really talk ourselves through some good lessons on preparedness: having enough food, medical supplies and water on hand, how to evacuate the house in a hurry, how to get by without the luxuries of modern life, etc. We’ve learned a lot through our talks, and I like to think that if, God forbid, disaster should strike, we’d be prepared for a lot of different scenarios. Lauren Hobo_Mama November 25, 2011 at 5:03 am Zombie plan — love it. Every once in awhile, I’ll talk through plans like that, but my husband doesn’t get into it. It’ll serve him right when he’s eaten by zombies. Dionna codenamemama November 23, 2011 at 6:58 pm Lauren – you are SO much more sanitary than I am. You sanitized towels?! Gawd – now that I know, I’m not even going to do it 😉 Lauren Hobo_Mama November 25, 2011 at 5:07 am I didn’t the first time (Mikko’s planned homebirth that wasn’t), never thought of it. But my midwife this time gave us a sheet of instructions that included washing all linens and newborn clothes in hot water and then sealing them up till the birth. I wondered how necessary it was, considering I hadn’t done it the time before. When the time for the birth came and I cracked open my sanitized sheets, I immediately thought, “Well. Now they’re not sanitary anymore, huh?” The midwife also never checked that I’d sanitized them or mentioned it. Think it was some sort of hazing? 😉 Good Girl Gone Green GGirlGGreen November 23, 2011 at 8:13 pm I love the picture of Dionna!!!
