Wordless Wednesday: Signing

This week we asked: What does signing look like?

(Read more about responding with sensitivity on our resource page.)

Shannon’s oldest was never interested in signing until her baby brother started picking it up.
She finally learned “all done,” “more,” and “milk” at the ripe age of 4.5, with his expert tutelage.

Shannon blogs at Pineapples & Artichokes.

Emily blogs sporadically at Embrita Blogging.

Mikko (at 13 months) signs “all done” after his meal.

Mikko (at 2 years) signs “flowers” when he spots the centerpiece.

Lauren blogs at Hobo Mama.

From Zhani: My 3 year old signing “I love you”

Tyler was helping practice / prepare for teaching her little sister signs.

Tyler’s mom blogs at Momma Jorje.

So fun! Jessa hasn’t picked up any signs yet, but I’m hoping she will soon!

I am so impressed with all these kidlets! And I’m reminded that I should get some photos of Sasha signing! We’re getting more and more consistent with signing to Spencer, especially now that he is in Speech Therapy, so I’m hoping he’ll start signing some soon!
